AI function - Face (person) detection
Face detection in camera systems with AI is a function that automatically recognizes and tracks faces of people who appear in the camera's field of view. This function relies on algorithms that can analyze images and distinguish features of the human face. During configuration, it's possible to set the detection area and the size of the detection field, allowing you to set at what distance detection should occur.
Advantages of the face detection function:
- Increased security: Crowd detection allows timely alerts to potential threats, such as unrest, demonstrations, or fights.
- Crime prevention: This function helps prevent criminal activities that often occur in groups, such as theft, vandalism, or assault.
- Ensuring smooth operations: This function helps ensure smooth operations in busy places, such as airports, train stations, or shopping centers.
How crowd detection works:
- Image recording: The camera records the image of the monitored scene.
- Image analysis: Algorithms analyze the image and count the number of people in the frame.
- Crowd determination: If multiple people are present in the camera's view, the system determines that it's a crowd gathering.
- Alert: In case of crowd detection, the system can send an alert to the operator or start recording and other actions, such as triggering an alarm.
Crowd detection is a valuable feature for camera systems that enables more effective monitoring and crime prevention.
Detection operating conditions:
The security camera must be placed at a height of 2-4m. The tilt angle to the horizontal plane should be less than 30%. Detection distance is 10-15m. There should be no other objects between the person or vehicle that could cast a shadow. Failure to meet these conditions may result in improper functioning of detection features.
