I log into the device remotely, but I can't see the image

If you are running the device on a public IP address, you will always set up port forwarding on the router. It is imperative that all communication ports on the device are forwarded, especially the often forgotten TCP port (usually 5000). If you don't forward it, you can log into the device and configure it, but you won't see the image or log. For some devices, you may see the LIVE image, but you will not see the recording.

Another cause may be the absence of a plugin to display the image in a web browser. We recommend installing the plugin and restarting the browser.
