Image movements of AHD camera systems
Incorrect connection of cable distribution and connectors
BNC connectors are not properly attached according to the video instructions or there is a transient resistance somewhere. Make sure the connectors are properly connected to the wires and recheck the existing routes.
Plug not properly grounded
The entire system must be connected to the same phase of the electrical system. For example, if the cameras are powered from a different source than the recording equipment, they may be connected to a different phase, which can cause interference and also be a potential hazard in the event of a static surge that can burn out the camera system.
A basic requirement for stable and high quality images is a good grounding of all powered system components. This condition may not be fulfilled if the system is powered from old electrical wiring that does not meet current standards. In order to rule out a fault in the equipment in such a case, we recommend testing the camera system on a different power supply (building).
Wiring problems
As mentioned above, virtually all image problems are caused by cable routes. In this context, the most common causes should be considered:
- The cabling is of poor quality and does not meet the required RG59 standard.
- Robbers and other pests have damaged the cabling.
- Water leaks into the cabling and connectors due to poor installation.
- The wiring has coincidences with power lines or other sources of electromagnetic waves, which can cause multicolored lines, stripes and ghosting - called interference.
- There may be stray currents from other equipment (fluorescent lights, refrigerators) in the grounding of high voltage wiring that can cause interference.
Solutions
It is usually very difficult to solve the problem of the above disturbances in the picture, because the vast majority of them are caused by external influences that occur only in one place, one camera (channel), for example. If you do experience problems, there is no choice but to look for the cause and experiment with replacing cabling, cameras and their placement.
