Updating FIRMWARE devices
Each device contains an operating system that needs to be updated from time to time to fix any bugs, optimize performance and security levels (ideally once a year).
How do I find out the FW version on my device?
Whether it is an IP camera or a recorder, you can find out the firmware version by using the menu ( or web interface) in the Maintenance>System and Version Information tab.
OTAupdates
You can update your device by downloading the latest FW from our server. In the Maintenance>Upgrade section of the device, click on the "Check" button. The system will check for the availability of a newer FW version and offer you to download it. If a newer FW is available, then upload the downloaded file in the same window using the "Manual Upgrade" menu and click on upgrade. The warnings below apply to the upgrade. OTA updates of recorders can also be performed in the user interface on connected monitors/TVs.
