Adding a microphone to a camera system
How and where is the microphone connected?
The microphone is equipped with a line amplifier so that the audio signal can be connected to any recording device or IP camera equipped with an AUDIO IN connector. It is thanks to the amplifier that the microphone needs to be powered, which is usually done with 12V DC. The power supply can be pulled separately, or if the microphone will be placed near the camera, it is possible to use the power supply from the camera thanks to a loop-through solution, as shown in the diagram below. The transmission of the audio signal, as well as the video signal, is solved by coaxial cable - ideally muticable. The connection is then made via a CINCH connector on both sides of the cable. The signal cable is then connected to the AUDIO IN input on the back of the device.

How to activate audio transmission and recording on the device
In each device, the audio input is muted from factory settings. Therefore, the audio input needs to be activated as shown in the video below.
